I’ve given this restaurant two chances, and both times the service was extremely disappointing. The staff consistently show a lack of basic flexibility and almost no emotional intelligence. They follow rules rigidly without any common-sense judgment or understanding of customer needs. The only reason this place stays busy is because there aren’t many other Chinese restaurants nearby. If there were even one more decent option in the area, their business would drop significantly. I will definitely not be returning again.
So I've been wanting to try this place for the longest time as it was near my place of work. If you like very spicy soup, this place will make you happy. I went on a lunch time and it can get filled quickly. The restaurant was just on front of Sheridan College along Trafalgar Road. I ordered the Braised Pork Intestine & Red Konjac in Rice Noodle Soup. It is braised pork intestine & red konjac, paired with a unique spicy broth and rice noodles. Serving size is very generous and so perfect on a nice chilly December day. Service is fast. They only accept Debit or Cash though, but regardless, I highly recommend this place!
Ordering system is very convenient, just scan QR code and order from your phone. Service is really good too. Clean restaurant and clean washroom. Braised beef is recommended. The braised chicken depends on your taste but for me it was a bit bland. Debit or cash only.
We had an extremely disappointing and frustrating experience at this restaurant today. Here’s what happened: We called ahead and explained that we were in a hurry, and asked if we could order in advance so that we could start eating as soon as we arrived. The staff told us that their policy does not allow dine-in customers to place orders over the phone — dine-in orders must be placed after arriving at the restaurant. However, they said that if we placed a pickup order, then we could order in advance. So we compromised and agreed to place a pickup order — but clearly told them not to pack anything, because we would be dining in once we arrived. They agreed. But when we arrived, they completely ignored what we asked for — everything was packed to go. We were traveling with a toddler… how are we supposed to feed a baby soups and saucy dishes in the car? We politely asked for just two small bowls so we could dine in. They firmly refused, saying “pickup orders that are already packed cannot be eaten inside the restaurant.” Honestly, we cannot understand this logic at all: 1. If they are afraid that customers might not show up after ordering early, then pickup orders carry the exact same risk. It makes no sense. 2. We were already in the restaurant and clearly intended to dine in — why is a takeout box suddenly banned from being eaten inside? What kind of rule is that? 3. It was around 3pm — the restaurant was more than two-thirds empty, no lineups, no rush hour. And we had already confirmed this over the phone before placing the order. In the end… Because we couldn’t possibly feed our baby in the car with packed food, and because they refused to offer the most basic dine-in accommodation, we had no choice but to leave the entire order there and walk out hungry. A family with a hungry baby, forced to leave without eating anything—this is beyond disappointing. It’s rigid, unreasonable, and shows a complete lack of basic hospitality and empathy. This is not the first time we were disappointed here. Previously, Google showed their closing time as 10pm, so we arrived before 9:30pm. But they told us the kitchen was already closed. If they stop service that early, then why advertise 10pm as the closing time? It’s misleading and shows a lack of honesty and consistency. In summary: This restaurant’s rules are unreasonable, inflexible, and completely lacking in basic customer respect. Their attitude seems to be: * Customers in a hurry? Not our problem. * Customers communicating clearly? We won’t listen. * Customers with a baby? We offer no help. * Customer needs? Policy comes first. I am not someone who gets angry easily. I have never left a negative review before — not even a 4-star review. This is my first time ever doing so.But what happened today was unacceptable. We will never return, and I hope other families will not have to go through the same experience.
It just happened to be lunchtime, so I decided to choose this restaurant. Both doors were automatic with manual buttons; it was almost full of university students, apparently there was a university right across the street. I ordered two takeout。 I just finished a super big bowl of original bone broth rice noodles, it was absolutely delicious! The price was also very reasonable, the waiters looked very energetic and were very friendly, highly recommend it. Another dish is my boneless braised chicken rice for dinner I think it will be pretty good too!
Reserve your spot at the tablet by the door, get seated promptly, order using QR code on table, get delicious food, eat delicious food, go to cash and pay, receive free delicious mini ice cream cone, eat delicious dessert. Repeat next time.
Absolutely amazing dinner option! Service is incredible, food is divine and bonus free ice cream at the end! Atmosphere was so fantastic. I would come here all the time if I could.
