We had the best experience with Mark who helped us find our perfect equipment for our home gym! He was so friendly and patient to show us all the different options. He also gave our pup so much affection :) if you do come, ask for Mark - he is fantastic!
I had a good experience at the store. Mark, the owner assisted me and is very friendly and knowledgeable. Purchased two sets of dumbbells that were similar in price compared to other fitness stores.
They do not update their website. Drove all the way to oakville for them to say the plates advertised as $31.50 are $45 at that location. Complete waste of my time. Out of principle I refused to pay more than advertised. Owner said he has no control over the website and will not be able to fix this problem in the future. They think a notice on the desk is a sufficient long term fix to their website issue. I'm extremely disappointed.
Same experience as many people here. Made a 2.5 hour drive to get a better deal on weight plates as advertised on the website. Their address is listed on the website but they said they are independently owned and they have different pricing. Much higher BTW. Also, I'm not a picky client but at the very least I would expect a friendly person at the counter or a hello before you'rerushed to say what you'relooking to buy. Terrible experience all together, I do not recommend this location at all. If you're driving from london area, just take the extra 30-50 min drive to another location.
⚠️⚠️Cowboy hat has the worst attitude imaginable and should not be in any form of customer service job. The sheer impatience and inability to provide answers or explanations is so foul. Attitude is foul both on the phone and in person.
Good experience at Fitness Depot Oakville. The owner personally helped me out. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole visit easy. I found exactly what I needed, and the prices on kettlebells were really solid. I will do business with them again if I need more weights.
Disclaimer: my order has not been completed yet, so this isn’t about the quality of product, but rather the service (and there is time for it to be rectified). So far fitness depot, particularly this location, has dropped the ball. I placed an order a few weeks ago and haven’t heard anything from the store. I tried to call and an automated message said because of COVID it could take up to 8 weeks. The automated message also told me to email the store for order updates and that they respond to all email inquired within 48 hours. I can tell you now that that’s not true. I’ve sent two separate emails over a week apart, both of which have been ignored. After sending the emails I tried calling again, when you hit the button to speak to a representative it rings and rings before sending you to voicemail... a voicemail that won’t let you leave a message. I get that things are busy with COVID, but this is ridiculous. I placed the order almost three weeks ago and I’m basically being ghosted by a store that I’m trying to spend almost $1000 at? The thing that really irks me is that there was no indication it would take this long to process the order before I placed it. Everything said “in stock” on the website so I assumed it would take a few days maximum to be ready for curbside pickup. It’s only after you place the order and inquire about why it’s taking so long that they drop on you it could take up to 8 weeks. Regardless of the impacts of COVID, this is no way to conduct business. If a customer sends multiple emails, calls multiple times during business hours, and can’t even leave a message, the company is doing something seriously wrong. At this rate I should have my order by the time a vaccine is out, but I wouldn’t count on it. I definitely won’t be shopping here again though.
