Following a heinous experience with a deceitful floor installer, I’m very happy to say.. that after we found and met Max Lepekhine of (Westoak Wood Floors), “whom literally came to our rescue”.. our faith in humanity has truly been restored! Max was extremely considerate of our situation, and agreed to tackle the job single handedly! Max takes pride in his work, and is extremely meticulous with every detail, he ensured our satisfaction throughout the entire process, keeping us apprised of each step. We appreciated Max not trying to take advantage of our vulnerability, and set up a fair and amicable payment schedule, giving us the comfort of knowing we weren’t going to be scammed again. Max recently helped us out of a bind on short notice and did an amazing job. We had a small hallway area that needed hardwood to match as best as possible to existing hardwood in the bedrooms and he installed and stained the floor exceptionally in a short time frame. We will definitely call Max for our next hardwood flooring project.
My husband and I just completed our renovation. We replaced our existing hardwood flooring, replaced our old wood spindles and banister, sanded our stairs, painted the risers, replaced our baseboards and added shoe moulding. Max did everything he said he was going to do, in the timeframe he said he was going to do it. He answered all our questions and suggested things we had not thought of. There was minimal dust during the sanding process and Max and Allen always cleaned their mess at the end of the day. We would not hesitate to recommend Max and his team. Collaborating with Max has been such a pleasure. He is very honest and informative as much as he is passionate about his work. Also very friendly and great to have conversation with! By far the most reasonable budget you will find in the Halton region. Don't bother wasting time looking at other competitors who will price gouge you. We recently had our floors done on our 2nd level of our home from carpet to now engineered hardwood. He had also done our staircase as well. The craftsmanship is immaculate. Floors are very sturdy and most important, our stairs are and feel durable - hand rails as well. He recommended great ideas such as pickets, reusing our old railing by sanding it and staining it. We also took an approach on colours (don't mind our yellow walls ?) that the light flooring and the dark stairs blend nicely with our red wood first floor. It was hard to picture it without reference, so I hope this helps out others who have a similar idea, or don't have the budget to make everything match. I wish I took before photos, but honestly speaking our carpeted floors and staircase are better gone and forgotten. Now we can rest well and enjoy our new floors thanks to Max of WestOak Wood Floors.
