We hired Sounds Good to help automate our new home, and while the end result is functional, the process had some high and low points. The Good: The owner is clearly very knowledgeable about smart home technology. His expertise shone through during our initial meetings and we felt confident in his technical abilities. Overall, our system works as intended and the Sounds Good team has been supportive in ironing out any final kinks. The Okay/Bad: The quote process felt impersonal and dragged on longer than it should have. I think this process could be more efficient if the sales rep had as much knowledge as the owner. Quotes might also be better reviewed in person as they are so long and complex. The main issue for us, however, was the owner's demeanour during home visits. While the rest of the team were very kind and courteous, the owner seemed to be either annoyed or in a bad mood every time he came to our home. It created a noticeably uncomfortable atmosphere. Conclusion & Recommendation: If you can look past the interpersonal aspects and just want a technically sound smart home system, this company delivers on the tech side. The owner is very knowledgeable but the overall customer experience needs improvement. I usually reserve my reviews for positive experiences, but I’m sharing this in the hope that a few small, actionable changes could lead to significant overall improvements for future clients.

Most excellent service! It is really hard to describe in plain words the experience, the attention to every tiny detail, understanding, patience, professional excellence and most of all the hard work of this super smart humans. I am still in AWE of how I survived before ? without being able to do everything from the comfort of my bed or bathroom or back yard etc … from a tiny phone with a soft touch … I am basically controlling everything from lights to alarms and video cameras to tv … music house temperature, garage doors, entrances , windows, water, gas! Every day I figure out something new and I giggle and marvel like a child. Sometimes I even do a little dance ! Thank you very much to all of you from the bottom of my heart ! Thank you Rob and Jarred and thank you so much to Luke who designed the entire house and didn’t roll his eyes at my question! Thank you to Mattew, Josh, Tim and Rita for all of your hard work and calming my “moments “of panic on how am I going to navigate all and learn so much !!! Simple! Safe! Super elegant! We dealt with Robert directly from Sounds Good for our new custom home built, everything was going good until construction started. They were not responsive, took for ever to get back to us with updates and at the end the project is still not complete. Do NOT recommend them at all.
