BEWARE OF THE DISCRIMINATORY "MANAGER" JOEDEL!!!!! The store manager, Joedel, made several inappropriate and racially discriminatory remarks toward a minor employee who was working at this store. He told her she was “too pale to work at the front and would scare away the kids,” and suggested that she “get a tan.” On another occasion, he said to her, “you won’t understand — you’re white.” These comments are overtly racist, discriminatory, and completely unacceptable in any workplace. If a manager displays such behaviour toward one employee, it raises serious concerns that other staff members (many of whom are teenagers) may also be experiencing similar mistreatment but are too afraid to report it for fear of losing their jobs. As this individual is my niece, I am filing this complaint on her behalf. Such conduct violates workplace respect, equality, and inclusion policies and may also contravene provincial human rights legislation, which prohibits discrimination based on race or skin colour. I expect Party City to conduct a full investigation and take appropriate disciplinary action against Joedel. Failure to address this matter promptly and properly may result in further action being taken. This kind of behaviour cannot be ignored or tolerated.
I had a fantastic experience at Party City today! Arvin was incredibly enthusiastic and helped me find the right costume and accessories. It’s definitely a store I’ll come back to in the future.
I just called looking for a Beatles wig. I listened to all the options, then finally got a human. I was put on hold, 5 or 6 minutes. I was then told to "come in" or "look on our website". Customer service: Fail.
I've been meaning to post this for a few weeks and finally getting around to it because it was another experience with exceptional service provided by Hamza. First time was when he was the only person at cash and managing an ever growing line of customers wanting to cash out or purchase balloons. He was calm, kind and patient. I was surprised that other associates just kept on shelving ...would have thought that someone would help at cash with a line that long. Wanted to acknowledge Hamza as he was fantastic. Also want to provide feedback about how they manage their cash line when it's as long as it gets and no one is redirected to help out. Would be better planning and better customer service if that was considered.
Amazing customer service.. today it was my son’s birthday.. i reached the store & forgot to check that due to lockdown there was no in-store shopping.. i called the store’s number n told them about the situation.. i was right outside the store...they asked my to order online , as soon as i order online ,i called them again advising i just order.. the guy asked me to b on the doorside in next 2mins.. &i got my order from there.. very polite staff with helpful attitude
Lol apparently not only are we quarantining people but our balloons too. Called the store to get balloons filled with helium that I purchased for my daughter’s birthday several weeks ago, only to have an employee inform me that my balloons need to be taken in and quarantined for several days before you can fill them and give them back to me?
If I could give you zero stars I would. Your website says you have 5 corncob pipes in stock. Sent my husband to the store to get two (for a Christmas project) and he couldn't find them. The 2 staff said they are probably packed up in the back with the Halloween items. No offer at all to go and check. I guess I won't be shopping here anymore.
