Place: 4/5 Staff: 1/5 Price: 2/5 Speed & Quality: 5/5 Came here for passport photo, super quick & the quality was great, no issues there. BUT THE STAFF? Honestly, NOT a good experience. People keep saying mixed things about the lady that works there, rude, not rude, so here’s the REAL DEAL: if you work in customer service, you need at least a bit of patience, basic politeness & professionalism. She had NONE. Didn’t give me a second to check my appearance before taking the photo, rushed me through the process & when I asked a simple clarification about my requirement afterward, she couldn’t even wait to listen. Instead, she kept insisting she was right & started arguing! I was only making sure I got what I paid for. And that’s another thing, this place is PRICIER than most. So if you’re coming here thinking you’ll get a friendly or patient experience, bad idea. If you only care about getting your photo done fast and right (and don’t mind paying extra), then yeah, this place delivers. Otherwise, not worth the attitude.
The senior lady was so impatient and rude. I asked in very friendly manner with smile, while she responded like we owe her million dollars… wondering where are those good reviews come from… plus the price is not reasonable (see the same comments from the other reviews as well ). Would never come again.
Do not develop film here! They overcharge 200% on film developing. A single roll to get developed without scans or prints are $20-25 here whereas all local labs fall into around the $9-12 range. Criminal!
Great place to develop film. They’re a bit pricy which is why I docked a star but the consistency and processing times are great. The process is super straightforward, when developing film (color and bw are the same price) they charge for the amount of exposures. Ranges about $27-$33 per roll. I’ve read complaints on Yelp & Google about the owner/lady being rude but I disagreel. I think she’s just very direct and has a loud voice which might rub people the wrong way but she’s very nice & honest, which is why I continue to come here. She keeps your negatives if you plan to return and pick them up and offers digital recieving via email or prints. They offer other services here as well, such as scale prints, faxing, passport pictures, uploading & editing, format revision, etc. and little holiday decorations and greeting cards for all occasions as well. Continuing to note on price, I probably wouldn’t buy film from here. I can buy a 3x36 pack of fujifilm 400 at Walmart for the same price they charge here for 1 roll. If you’re looking for specialty film, they do carry it here but if price is your main concern I’d recommend shopping on Ebay or another wholesale retailer online. Overall I definitely recommend for those who are looking for a consistent and efficient photo store.
Took my 2-month old infant here, charged $80 for 2 passport photo and 2 visa photo with digital copy. Highest price in GTA(Staples charge $30for the same ting), but at least the photo is usable. I’d give 5 star if they have a more reasonable price compare to the market.
My son came here for passport photo by himself , I think for a professional photo store , it wound be appreciated that they kindly reminder customer of hair is qualified for the passport photo . Waste money
Me n my friend went to take passport pic at this photo studio. We told the woman at the store that we need it for Canadian passport. She pulled away her price chart at the counter saying you know if you need it for a different country it would be cheaper. For Canadian passport it is $22.00. We found her comment to be kind of odd because we told you we need it for Canadian PP so why are you suggesting the price for another country. Then we asked why is it so expensive for the Canadian PP? Her response was that you know that this is "Oakville" you people are not from around here I can see. She was so rude and grumpy old woman. any way we took the photo and she kept saying you guys are not from here and are you sure you need this for a Canadian passport? Yes we do! why you keep asking us the same question. Finally she took 2 shots and went to print them out. We asked her if we could have a look before she printed them she said no we have to pay first. We paid the $22.00. then she came with the photos they were so blotchy and dark from the poor lighting in the store. When we asked about it, She said oh that is how Canadian want it for the PP if they reject it then you can come back and I will do it again at a reduced price. While we were there another lady came in and she was really upset with her about the same thing. the customer complained that she told her from the get go that she did not like the photos as they did not look one bit like her and they were too dark, but she told her they were ok. Now she had to waste her time and money to come back to have them redone. This woman is very tricky and cunning she try to get your money twice. Customer service was really poor, rude and of the lowest standard in Oakville. This place is a rip-off don't go there. Find another photo studio for this kind of money. Now today the Canadian Passport Office rejected the photos and we have to do them again. We went elsewhere and got them now for $9.00 for 2 copies.
