I am not even kidding this is the BEST shawarma around!! Once you try you will no longer be able to eat at other places it’s so good! Staff is also very friendly and helpful aswell!! 11/10 restaurant!
I never leave reviews but I had to with this because this location seasons their chicken with curry (that's not the traditional Lebanese flavour that I was expecting especially being that I'm personally not a fan of curry) Super disappointing plus the fact that the owner I'm assuming) tried to gaslight me by saying it's always been that way...ummm, no, it hasn't. I've been eating at Pita Nutso's practically since they've opened 25 years ago. P.S. I also called the original location and they confirmed that.
If you haven’t been to Pita Nutso yet, you are missing out. Everything about it just hits different, from the fresh ingredients to the way they make their wraps and shawarma. I got the chicken shawarma pita and it was honestly the best food I’ve ever had. The customer service is excellent and the manager was very nice. Overall, eating here was a great experience and again, if you haven’t eaten here, then you’re definitely missing out.
My coworker who ordered before me didn’t get the shawarma he asked for. He only got lettuce and tomato. He picked the shawarma wrap option that also came with fries. I ordered what on the pamphlet menu said was a 2 for $15 special. And I specifically said “can I get the 2 for $15 special?” He took my order, punched it in on his computer, and prompted the debit machine. I can see on my screen that he punched in 2 for $17. I asked him why is it $17 and not $15? He told me it’s their old price… why wouldn’t he tell me the new price before he tried to charge me? On top of all this. The shawarma’s weren’t even that good. Especially when you considered the price. They are small and didn’t taste fresh. I will never be returning after this experience. With how many good shawarma joints around it’s hard to believe people choose to go to this place.
So stingy with the chicken and the sauce. He tried to charge me an extra $4 to do half fries half rice (compared to just rice or fries plate). Asked for extra sauce and he added like 1/4 tsp. Will not return. You get about 2oz of chicken on their $13 platter. Edit: I used to go to Pita Nutso on trafalgar all the time growing up (since about 2002). It was amazing. The chicken used to be way better and they used to actually give us the sauce bottles to use with our meal. Now there are two issues: 1) the quantity of chicken is just wrong for the size of the regular plate. It barely covers 1/3 of the plate. I felt like I had to ration my chicken through the meal to make it last til the end of the plate. 2) stinginess with sauce. The sauce still tastes great but there just isn’t enough on the plate even asking for more. And why is there no half fries/half rice option for the regular size plate? I used to love pita nutso and I hope trafalgar location is still good because this was very disappointing.
Best falafels in the area! Fresh and big. Awesome prices and fresh made on the spot. Fast and friendly. Great spot to get a good healthy meal for amazing prices.
The Shawarma from Pita Nutso on Ford Dr, is the best shawarma near me in Oakville and Mississauga area! My family loves when I bring food from this place! Their ultimate sandwich combined with extra sauce is just perfect.
