Fantastic company! They have been doing great weekly lawn maintenance and this year they did an excellent job of the fall clean-up in a single visit for our large, heavily treed property. They are always on time and are safe and friendly with our dog that roams the back yard.
This company is run very unprofessionally. After reading other reviews, I can see a clear pattern: poor landscaping work and questionable character. Mohammad Abujamous mentioned how Charlie lacks respect and manners and hires just one person per job.... that’s absolutely true. Also most of the negative reviews he claims are fake. Charlie is the type to burn bridges just to get ahead, which makes him someone you don’t want to do business with. People like this often cut corners, and it shows in their work. Do not work with this company -waste of time. Hire Cedargate Landscaping or literally any other company. Charlie will likely reply to this review saying its fake. This is not fake.
The service we received at first was completely unacceptable — it honestly felt disrespectful considering the poor quality of work done by the first crew. After more than 45 days of back-and-forth and wasted time, a different crew finally came and actually wanted to work. They clearly knew what they were doing and delivered the best result possible — a huge difference compared to the first team. While we appreciate the effort of this second crew, the terrible impression your company left on us throughout this whole process still remains.
I deeply regret hiring this company for my paver installation. First off, the team was unorganized and didn’t seem to know what they were doing. They didn’t properly prepare the ground before laying the pavers, which resulted in uneven surfaces. Some pavers are visibly tilted, while others have sunken into the ground, leaving unsightly gaps between them. The pattern they laid out is all over the place—it looks haphazard and sloppy. They also didn’t use enough sand between the pavers, and now, a few months later, weeds are growing through the cracks. To make matters worse, the edging they installed has already started to shift, making the entire patio look crooked and unstable. I paid a significant amount of money for what I thought would be a professional, long-lasting installation, but now I’m stuck with a patio that looks cheap and poorly done. I tried reaching out to the company for a resolution, but their response was slow and unhelpful.
We have been dealing with VIL now for over 2 years after dealing with another we had been with for over 25 years. Have had nothing but great service from VIL and look forward to many more. Highly recommended
