Ordered this tray last night around 7:30 and they had it ready once i arrived at 7:45 for pickup! This was so delicious, the best sushi i’ve ever had and the fact that this gem is in Oakville is so convenient. Will be ordering again soon
Ingredients were just okay. The teriyaki shrimp was very poorly prepared — clearly fried in advance and left sitting, turning unpleasantly soggy yet tough, so bad I had to spit it out. My unagi didn’t have any major issues, but the portion was very small for the price and location. Overall, the portion size felt unreasonably small — even smaller than what I usually get in downtown Toronto, where I work three days a week and often get Japanese takeout. Plus, it’s really hard to find parking nearby.
This little out of the way gem Makes some of the best sushi anywhere near Oakville/ Burlington. Their signature roll is huge and delicious. One of the best new restaurant finds in a long while. Their signature roll staff are generous, prompt and welcoming. You will need to take out as done in is tiny but this place is awesome.
I recently tried JO SUSHI TO GO and was blown away. The sushi is incredibly fresh, made with top-notch ingredients, and in many ways better than some of the well-known spots in downtown Oakville. Every bite was full of flavor and balance, the kind of sushi that leaves a lasting impression and makes you want to come back right away. It’s clear this small, family-owned restaurant puts care and attention into everything they serve. My only small suggestion would be to provide larger portions of soy sauce to match the generous rolls. Aside from that, everything was perfect. JO SUSHI TO GO is a true hidden gem. I can’t recommend it enough and will definitely be back very soon.
I have been ordering from here since opening- the quality of the fish and the cuts have been consistent each time. I often get the JO Special Dinner, and you can feel the work put into each piece of sushi. I absolutely recommend going here if you like good sushi!!!!
I was browsing the internet for new restaurants near me and accidentally stumbled upon this place and decided to give it a try. Absolutely delicious!!! My only regret is I ordered size small instead of large. Next time I won’t make this mistake. If you’re looking for a high quality sushi and rolls for any occasion or a simple dinner, Jo sushi is a place to go in Oakville. I will be back for my large platter next time.
I really don’t like leaving bad reviews, but I was so disappointed with the platter I got. The rolls were incredibly small, with hardly any fish, but what made it worse was that they just didn’t taste good at all. The flavor was bland, almost nonexistent, and it was really off-putting. the bigger roll, though slightly better, I was expecting something much better, but the taste just wasn’t there
