We had shades and fabric valances for two doors made with the expert advice and collaboration with Jasmina Coffa at Shades of Home and Custom Window Treatments. Jasmina was very helpful and attentive in the selection of colours and coordinating fabrics. Service and installation was before promised-we are very happy with the results.
Really wish I had the great experience many seem to have. I was recommended by a friend who had a good experience but the consultant that I was assigned to was less than adequate. I wanted a in home consultation, that is how you move the process along but I got a quote on items and fabric that I never saw. I even asked for pictures to clarify what the details were about (in the quote) and I was told that they didn't have pictures? I mean there is Pinterest. It was sloppy, lazy work. I expected much much better. Wasted a lot of my time.
Started well and turned into a disaster and continues to show how little SoH values a potential customer. Feedback addressing the response from Steve to my previous review. What I find troubling is your untenable position and condescending response stating that you don’t recognize someone as a client until they have purchased from you. Your response to my concern clearly illustrates that my business is of no value to you, but as an owner, that is your prerogative. You should recognize that this was in your power to fix, but you chose not to do so. A simple follow-up or apology would have sufficed, yet you chose sarcasm and an ongoing emphasis on the "free" consultation as the foundation of your feedback. If you believe that a $125 fee on a multi-thousand dollar order is going to break a deal, then you don't understand you clientele. Below is my feedback to some points you raised in you response to my review: 1. Not a customer until I buy from you - this is an interesting perspective on customer service 2. Professional - all I expected was for Marie to pick up the phone and reschedule if the weather was an issue. You still have not explained why Marie never called or returned any of my calls. As a co-owner, I would have expected some feedback from her on my concerns 3. Free=Expect Low Quality – you response implies that if something is free, one should have a lower/no expectation of quality or service. Please remember that Marie offered to come to the house, and at no point mentioned a cost for the service or that it was a courtesy service. My understanding was that she was coming to finalize measurements and confirm the quote she provided to me on all the window treatments 4. We were not ready to place an order - as per our discussion with Marie, the whole purpose of coming out to our home was to finalize the fabric selection and for her to take measurements. We were very much ready to place the order and pay the deposit 5. Insisted on Marie to trudge through snow - this is blatantly untrue, and at no point did I ask Marie to walk a block through snow to get to my home (she never called to work through the issue). To this day I have not heard back from her explaining her position I am not an unreasonable person, so please don't paint me as such. I was clear in my voicemail to Marie that I would write a review and felt what I wrote was objective. I never disputed the quality of your product or the initial service I received from your team and will restate that I was impressed with all the assistance I received in the showroom. I wish you and your team all the best in your business and continue to look for someone that wants my business.
great service and the best price on banded shades. thanks to marie who helped with the choices. extra thanks to their installer raj and his wife who did a great job installing our shades.
