Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience. Very surprising for a bk place, bc it's not that difficult! The sausage was dried and burnt (perhaps from the previous day?), the toast was lathered in what tasted like margarine, and the coffee wasn't alright at best. The server (and even the owner) did not even come by once to check on the table (standard waiting etiquette). I don't like ripping mom and pop places, but this just wasn't good.
Great breakfast place, got seated really quickly and staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food took a while to come out, but it was a busy time and the server let us know that it was on its way. Tasted delicious and French toast reminded me of how my mom made it when I was young.
Got the Rueben sandwhich and another breakfast item - sent the Rueben sandwhich back because it had a very weird smell which clearly offended the server who was trying her best to justify the food was fine. Would not recommend considering they still had the audacity to charge in full for somthing not eaten.
Low key and inviting. You know you made the right choice when the coffee comes as it is excellent.The food comes out fast and HOT. No surprises here just darn good.
I like the place but one time (the last time I’ll ever go) my payment didn’t go through, the server lady took the pin pad away and I even took about five mins to get my jacket on. THEN as I’m walking down the block about to cross the street I get a tap on the shoulder and had to go back in to pay, no biggie. This happens. What shouldn’t happen is when I walk through the door and be met with nasty glares from other workers The eggs are fresh and the meats are thick! I got the meat lovers omelette and it was full of protein and cheese! Got the griddled potatoes on the side so good!? Comes with two slices of buttered toast, with jams or peanut butter on the side Then I had to come back - this time for a later breakfast, so I got a Rueben sandwich and it was delicious. Perfect toasted bread thick cuts, yum. I had to get those soft and griddled potatoes again so good ‼️
Sunnyside is our go to place for breakfasts in Oakville. Great location in Downtown Oakville - right on Lakeshore. Food is consistently good. We usually go for the Traditional breakfast but everything looks good. Prices are very reasonable as well. We typically go on the weekends so it's probably a good idea to get there relatively early because it often will have a line at the door if you show up after, say, 10 am. Shout out to Nellie who is our favourite server. She's terrific!!!
Best breakfast/ lunch place in Canada! Best atmosphere and service I have ever experienced in a grill, the food is 10/10 and the staff are incredibly kind and friendly. I personally love it here and I am not from Canada however whenever I am in town I make sure to come down anytime I can to Sunnyside. Most of the reason I always come back is down to Nellie who is a very friendly and extremely welcoming member of staff. Thanks to Sunnyside, Nellie and the team for making my trips to oakville so much better! From the Gray family.
