Edit: The owner replied saying I “went to the wrong store.” No, I didn’t. The $25 wasn’t just for my sandwich, it also included my girlfriend’s croissant combo (do I have to really state every detail?!). I paid for both, and both orders took far too long. And regarding the tip: no, you didn’t force us to pay it, but asking for a tip (prompt) before customers even receive their food, especially with service this slow and crappy, really isn’t reasonable. Original: Brutal experience from start to finish. Wildly overpriced, and the service was unbelievably slow - 22 minutes for a basic sandwich bagel is a joke (and they ironically ask for a tip before you even get your food). It wasn’t even busy, so I can’t imagine how long the wait would be when the place is full. Spent $25 and still walked out hungry. Portions are tiny, the iced coffee comes in a kid-sized glass, and there’s absolutely no parking. I genuinely don’t understand the hype. If this place tried to survive in downtown Toronto, it wouldn’t last a week. Nothing here is worth the long wait or the money.
Really pleased to find this gem in Oakville! Prices are extremely reasonable, and non dairy options are available (not clearly advertised) There was a bit of a wait when I arrived as I came in after a larger group, but the barista was friendly and helpful and there were plenty of tables to sit and wait
A breath of fresh air in a hectic world. The coziest little spot — I felt so peaceful working here. The staff checked in on me a few times, which was such a kind touch. Tempted to gatekeep, but it’s too good not to share. :)
Very calm, exceptional service and delicious food. Our daughter was pleasantly surprised with a desert on the house. A must visit for coffee connoisseurs.
I had a wonderful experience at this café, thanks to the incredibly kind and welcoming owner. The owner went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect, creating a cozy and friendly atmosphere that made the visit truly memorable. It's rare to come across someone who cares so deeply about their customers and their experience. Highly recommend this place—not just for the great coffee and food, but for the amazing people behind it. Cappuccino and pistachio croissants were absolutely amazing!!
We went there for a Sunday evening coffee and had a great experience. We tried the Cappuccino and the Irish Cream coffee. Both were really good! The service was warm, welcoming and hospitable. The owner is a lovely lady who made our coffee with a lot of care and attention. They use high quality Ethiopian coffee. The café is very cozy and charming. The blue walls create a lovely atmosphere.
I visited The Blue Cafe again recently, and it was just as wonderful as before! I had originally wanted to try the strawberry matcha, but they had just run out, and they kindly refunded me right away. So I went with the honey latte instead. I chose the lavender honey, and it added such a unique aroma that made the coffee even more delicious. The milkshake was also creamy and tasty. The cafe remains very cozy and welcoming. Even though it’s small, there are lots of takeout orders, which shows how popular it is. The owner is incredibly kind, and the staff are friendly and genuinely nice, which made my visit even more enjoyable. Funny moment: while refunding the strawberry matcha, they forgot to charge me for the honey latte! I’ll definitely make sure to pay for it next time. Can’t wait to visit again—highly recommend!
