Dive Academy sucks. I bought a mask that broke before I could use it once and for the last two months all I get is full vm and bs texts. They have done nothing!
I’ve come here to get my gear serviced since 2018 after coming back to Ontario as a warm water diver. Dean was friendly from the moment I walked in and talked about Tobermory trips and overseas dive trips… fast forward a few years and I bring my boyfriend to get certified here which turned out to be the best decision!! He was so nervous and after training with these guys he’s confident, prepared, and all geared up to dive. These guys are just the best, we always make the trip to Oakville for our diving needs.
As a couple we have had experience with many dive shops over the years and The Dive Academy is simply the best. We started with taking equipment in for service to then taking a Nitrox course and all I can say is that I wish they had been my first experience. Dean and his team are welcoming, professional, fun, informative and accommodating. It’s always a pleasure to stop in. I only wish I had found them years ago. So much of diving is about the great group of people around you and The Dive Academy makes sure that this is true! Thanks for being such an asset to the Oakville diving community!
Best and most honest dive shop in all of Ontario. Could not recommend more. I’ve been a Commercial diver for 2 years, and a PADI diver for 7. I have been to, and have had interactions with many dive shops. I now only go to The Dive Academy for all my new gear, and servicing needs.
Just met Dean...wow. I am an instant fan. Only SSI place and was worth the drive from Ajax. Happy to call this "My Homebase" as a diver. Shop immaculate, staff awsome. Can't wait to do a dive with my new buddies.
I met Dean and Paula back in 2016 when I wanted (needed) to get back blowing bubbles. With work and everything else I had stopped and after chatting with these two I could not wait to get back in the water. Only problem was that some of my gear was not up to snuff. Dean loaned me the gear I needed to jump into the local pool and within days was back in open water. Since then I have dived with the crew from The Dive Academy on many occasions and will continue to do so for as long as they will have me. These are my diving family along with all the others I have met through the shop. Love you guys. And not forgetting SJ, James, Brendan, Paula's Dad, Miki, Ian and everyone else.
