Got a remote starter installed at Altered Sound, and the whole experience was great! The install was quick, everything works perfectly, and Marcus was super friendly (and pretty funny too). Definitely recommend them if you’re looking for quality work and great service!
Altered Sound (Ed) I was introduced to Ed through my brother as I was interested in upgrading the sound system in my 2024 Golf GTI. I was so impressed by Ed, not only was he extremely likeable but he has years of vast knowledge of the sound industry in every aspect. Ed was able to discuss in detail in my case audio options that would work well for my car. Ed always gave the price point options for all the equipment I was planning to purchase never pressuring me or upselling on price, he made clear concise decisions based on what I wanted to pay and how I wanted the install to look. I would highly recommend Altered Sounds Ed runs his establishment in a way that beckons to the old school way of doing business, face to face interaction, questions and answers and no hassle. My cars sound is truly amazing all around ,highs midrange and of course booming base with my 12 inch sub in the back. Most impressive thing was Ed explaining how they would integrate all my upgrades with the complicated VW GTI headset. Totally happy with the install and experience, everything works as if it came from the factory.
Ed is such a great guy. He’s shop is incredible. He helped me with the sound system in my bike but believe me his craft does not stop there. The theater room was incredible. He’s a true audiophile. Great prices and support. Do not hesitate to call. This is the place for audio. Boat,bike,home. Trust me.

I had a new stereo and amp installed in my van during COVID by Altered Sound, Oakville stereo services. Recently(two years later), I encountered a wiring issue and brought my van back for service. They immediately took it in without any questions and were committed to resolving the problem right away. The owner went above and beyond to ensure everything met my satisfaction, spending extra time with me to go through all the stereo options again. They even replaced the amp at no charge, which was a pleasant surprise. Their dedication to excellent service and attention to detail truly stood out. What a freaky experience. Walked into the shop on a weekday afternoon, and the sales guy was busy talking with a customer. Had a quick look around, and there was nothing that appealed to me. As I was stepping out the door, the sales guy yelled at me "sir, sir". He sounded panicked, like he'd just lost a potential sale. I don't know what his problem was, but based on my 4 minutes of time there, I would never go back.
