Cheap, but still very nice. Costs you about half what it'd cost you at the Winston Churchill, but it's still really nice; they don't skimp on anything. Popcorn and refreshments are as expected, the theatres are clean, and they do events now and then which are cool.
Our favourite theatre! Ticket prices are great and we love coming on Wednesdays for bring your own bowl popcorn $2.50! We also find the popcorn is so much tastier here, will never go to the big box theatres. Support your local theatre and enjoy the service, seating, and flicks! Thank you film.ca for never disappointing us!
Visited this theatre for the first time as they were the only theatre running a documentary i wanted to see. It has such an old school, community feel to it that i haven't experienced in many years. We don't have much choice in Canada these days for theatres with all the same big box locations and their overpriced tickets trying to sell you on the latest fad. Film.ca had better pricing, a better atmosphere and the service was also extremely friendly. Looks like they had a good selection of first run films and quirky selections which I love. I'm very glad to have discovered this theatre and definitely recommend it. Hope to be back very soon!
This great little theatre has always been here. Since it was Encore, and now as Films.ca, the prices, staff, and management are all great!FIRST RUN MOVIES! Just like the bigger guys, but HALF the price for the same quality! And you don't go deaf (Cineplex is too loud).
Film.Ca was one of the best cinemas I've been to in a while. To start off, the place looks amazing, like your typical 90's theatre. It is also a very clean, well maintained place. The staff there were super nice, helpful, understanding, and patient when my family and I had too many. The theatre and screen was obviously smaller than your average franchised cinema, but that did not change my family's and I's experience. The audio and video quality were still astonishingly good. And not to mention, they sell really good pizza that you can in fact bring into the theatre and eat while you watch the movie, even if it's a large pizza. The pricing was what surprised my the most. For the lowest price I have ever paid for a movie, I had a great experience. I was also given two free passes from a friend that advertises with them. Will definitely visit again and frequently!
