Great coffee and matcha! I really like this place the drinks have a real, rich taste of coffee, and everything is nicely made. Cozy atmosphere and friendly service too. Definitely a spot I’ll be returning to!
Can’t speak to the men overall but the Heritage blend was really good and K at the counter was really sweet. He helped us decide on new beans for our home espresso machine and gave some tips on how to brew at home. Great attitude and was really kind.
I found it very annoying that there is no sign posted saying that dogs are not welcome. I was told this after I had ordered my drink and asked to wait outside where I was swatting away. Killer wasps. The experience was very uncomfortable. A simple sign on the door would’ve meant that I didn’t go in and order and pay for a drink before being asked to stand outside.
Discrimination is something too old to be practicing. Be honest with your vision and values. Stop lying about your inclusivity clause and rather say that you prefer certain people.
Tried Pilot Coffee in Oakville recently — honestly, it was just okay for me. I know a lot of people really like Pilot as a brand, and I’d say the coffee is probably a bit better than Starbucks, but not by a huge margin. Nothing particularly memorable about the flavor. What I did like was the atmosphere — it was quiet, not crowded at all, which made it a nice spot to sit down and have a proper coffee chat. Sometimes that alone is reason enough to go. That said, their drink menu is pretty limited — mostly traditional espresso-based options, nothing too creative. Same with the food — not much beyond a few muffins or simple pastries. If I were rating based on coffee alone, it’d be a 3 out of 5 for me. If I include the quiet space and relaxed vibe, maybe a 4. Overall, a decent spot if you want somewhere low-key, but not somewhere I’d go out of my way for.
Drip coffee was not very good. Overly roasted with a tart and bitter flavour. Great service, great design but the roast used for drip coffee isn't my thing
Coffee is good, and is reasonably priced. I was at the cafe on Jan 11 (Saturday) to work. The cafe has unusable Wi-Fi . I was trying to work on QuickBooks Online and none of my website were loading. I hope the management improves their Wi-Fi quality allowing the cafe to be a welcoming environment for people looking to get some work done remotely or on weekends.
