It is a great stay at this hotel! I actually attended a small convention dedicated to my favourite game series, and the location is great because it's near the GO trains & a few local good restaurants as well. The staff at the hotel are super friendly and accommodating to our needs. I go here every year, and last year I remember the food at the restaurant was also delicious.
The rooms appear to be updated. The rest of the hotel is presently being renovated. The front desk staff appear to be nice. The morning restaurant staff were not very diligent. They did not check on us at all. I had to alert them twice that the buffet items have not been refilled for half and hour.They got our waffle order incorrect. The waffles came out very soggy... I don't know know how that could occur. I personally would never recommend the restaurant. We go to another Holiday Inn within the same area and their food and service is much better.
Stay away from this hotel. They don't seem to value your business. Even after sending an email to IHG directly, they simply referred me back to the hotel for assistance. All we got was a "sorry."I booked this hotel since it was close to my daughter's school. The room was average, but there were some issues. Bathroom toilet didn't flush properly which caused a lot of noise at night. Furthermore, all I heard all night was a dripping sound. Turned out there was a leak in the ceiling (see photos). As far as the common areas, the hotel was undergoing renovations at the time and both elevators did not work. Luckily we were only on the second floor.We were supposed to stay 3 nights, but decided to check out after 2. Unfortunately, the hotel did not want to refund the final night. Even though I told them that I had a reservation to come back the following week and would designate this hotel as my go-to hotel for the next 4 years they didn't seem to care. Needless to say, I will never stay in a Holiday Inn hotel again. Sticking with Marriott. Much better company to deal with.
Stayed for business. Good location for businesses locate in Oakville or Burlington. The rooms are good size and clean. Staff are friendly. Pool is a bit small but nice. They have a breakfast buffet with good variety of food and drinks. I would stay again in this hotel while visiting Oakville or Burlington. If you're planning to visit Niagara falls I would recommend this hotel. It will save you almost an hour drive.
Amazing hot breakfast, comfy bed and pillows... felt like home. Bathroom could be a bit cleaner. That's why I went with 4 stars.
