Highest quality produce and meats in the area which is why I'm always shopping here weekly. I never purchase the seafood.... I wish they would get a new seafood supplier where the fish are actually real wild caught from the ocean and not farmed "wild" like every other grocery store in the area.
Maria was amazing! Wanted to buy a gift basket but wasn't finding what I needed, she offered to put one together for me with things I chose from the store. My mom loved it. It was beautiful and she did it so quickly and efficiently. And her floral department looks amazing. I would suggest Maria and Longos for your gift giving needs.
Mid to high end grocery fair with excellent produce and variety. The hot food bar has lots of variety and they offer cooking lessons upstairs for teens, kids, and adults alike. The staff have always been helpful and friendly when locating something and have good international options for a foodie like me with an explorative curiosity. There hot bar options look wonderful though I haven't tried much yet, and will definitely have to update on that, but there are many options to please. The pricing is on the mid to high side, so be prepared to spend $700-$800 easily to fill a cart if you are filling the fridge and freezer.
I went to the Burloak Longo’s Oct.1st morning. I was looking for okra which has a sign displaying $11.00 per kg. However the packages under the sign was selling for $13.21 per kg. I took a picture(enclosed). I spotted a gentleman working at a nearby produce aisle and I approached him and asked him politely about the confusion and discrepancy. He looked at me and replied with an unpleasant attitude. He told me just paid the price on the package and keep on working. I asked him who should I speak with to help me understand the discrepancy. He told me he was in charge of the department. I told him I took a picture of the sign on the product shelf, then he stopped and came with me to take a look. He then quickly took the sign away and in a rude voice told me to take the package to the cashier and they will call him to verify and make adjustment. I told the cashier at the checkout, and she said she knew nothing about it, would not call the person in produce . She told me, they could not make any adjustment. Pay it or leave it. No customer services skill set at all. Her voice was so loud that another employee came. She just said in a loud voice”just give it to him” as if I was looking for hand out. What a disgrace experience Good story to share in social media.
Terribly run/managed store. Only has 1 cashier working on cash at a time, causing for line ups. person the front is usally working double duty oversing the front desk and self ceckouts. The self checks go off over everylittle thing and are annying to go through
Excellent is the name of the game for this store. Everything is always fresh, the store is near and clean and their customer service (representatives)) is top notch. 10/10 .
I just purchased two sandwiches already made a tuna and an egg salad and the contents were so thinly spread you couldn’t even hardly taste them other than the S. Disgusting price at $4.99. The Longo is in Burlington on Dundas used to make wonderful sandwiches with lots of feeling but I wonder if they been cut back as well. !?
The salad bar (make it yourself salads) are so delicious! There are so many choices, a little bit for everyone! The hot good bar is always full and the staff are super friendly! I just discovered the salad bar and it's a great lunch alternative. I'll definitely be back!
Shop here sometimes. But the Cornwall store is way better beautiful set up great visual. Makes me want to buy more. TRUST
This store has an excellent selection and great fruit/veggies as well as a surprisingly affordable meat section.However, I must say this review is primarily 5 stars due to one employee. Louise is probably the best cashier I have ever seen at any grocery store. If anyone in charge reads this give that lady a raise! She deserves every penny of it.
Nice clean store with great fresh produce. The meat section doesn't have as much selection as other stores but overall not bad.
