Not all Benjamin Moore retailers are created equal…I am a contractor who buys from BMs all over the city, incredible product and for the most part incredibly knowledgeable retailers. This one is terrible. the owner of this location has opted to hire the cheapest labour available in our city (if you know what I mean) like many other franchise owners who are keeping their overhead low at the expense of poor service. I came in here for a paint match, brought in multiple samples of existing millwork, and when these jokers couldn’t figure out the right colour match they blamed it on the drywall and millwork samples I brought saying something was wrong with the SAMPLES. In the past at other BMs what the computer fell short on the trained associate made up for with their trained eye, colour matching simply by sight. These guys are trained to scam. Avoid this place.
Posts 20% discount but refused to give it saying that sign was from last year. Rude abrupt yet offered discounts and different attitude for a commercial painter. Do not visit do not buy from there
I purchased a paint sample at 6.99$ and all other Benjamin Moore locations sell it for $5.99. I went back the next day and the price went up to $8.99 and I was not told why. It’s seems that prices are inconsistent.
Rude, grumpy old lady with glasses and dark hair at front desk. She kept asking me what I need and when I said I was just browsing she shouted at me, "Don't touch anything!!!". What if I wanted to read the back of the label or pick it up for purchase? Her behavior is totally unprofessional and disrespectful. She is an absolute disgrace. Her attitude towards customers is terrible. She must be very miserable about her life, working at a lame paint store with no sales. This happened on Jan 5th at 11:15 am. Don't shop here.
I have been going to this store since 2006. Recently I had 2 bad experiences. I bought 4 or 5 cans of paint for a reno. The guy mixing the paint had a cigarette burning in the ashtray the whole time. I couldn't wait to get out of there, it smelled so bad I couldn't breathe. 60 days later I went to return an unused, unopened can of paint. They said there was a "film" on the lid and sides. Well of course when you shake a can of paint, the lid and sides become coated with the paint ! The store shakes the paint before they give it to you. I should have taken a picture of the inside of the can the day I bought it. They basically told me their Benjamin Moore paint is no good after 60 days. If there was a "film" on the lid before 30 days, they still wouldn't have taken it back. so that was just an excuse not to take it back. For all I know, it was there when I got the paint because I never looked inside the can after they shook it. Solution : Buy Valspar at Lowes. One coat covered an orange room I painted and the paint doesn't splatter.. Bye Bye Benjamin Moore
I know nothing about paint, which is why I came to ask questions. The lady working here speaks in a very rude tone and is disrespectful. She is extremely condescending. I left the store and didn’t buy anything. Very dissatisfied.
What a great shop. I come all the way from Hamilton because of the selection of brands and service. Never feel rushed or pressured. Always takes the time to give genuine advice while keeping your best interests at heart. I’ve recommended several friends and they’ve all had similar experiences. Can’t speak highly enough of the owner. Worth the trip. Thank you!
