Little hidden gem in Oakville. Was driving by and wanted to eat an interesting meal - and it delivered. Tried the cafe Havana sandwich and it was good. Bread was a little too crunchy, but the filling was tasty - pickles, mustard, roast pork, sausage and ham!
Small restaurant, family owned. The service is amazing, the lady is the sweetest woman on earth. We got the beef (I can't remember what it was called!) But the beef was so moist and flavorful. It was delicious! I got the pork sandwich, and it tasted good, but I wish I got something else ... I should have ordered something more authentic (my fault tho) .... We ended it with milk cake, and it was so freakshily good that I had to buy the whole cake for Father's day, while my friend bought half a cake for his birthday.... I should add, my friend never tried milk cake and he ate my piece too
Drove about an hour just to try an authentic Cuban sandwich. Finished watching the movie chef and we were dying to try one. Can say that this was worth the drive. Extremely delicious sandwich and reasonable price at $9.99 per sandwich. You should definitely check this place out. I just wish I lived closer!
A nice neighborhood place with some of the dishes that remind me of Cuba. Don't hesitate to add the spice yourself, nobody will be offended!
