I attend trivia night every Tuesday evening. The menu is very limited, food is ok. I eat elsewhere prior to arriving because of the lack of choice. Unfortunately, there's not really much of an atmosphere here, either. However, it's not an entirely bad experience. The owner and staff are very friendly and easy to talk to. Service is very good, even when there is a full house on a Tuesday night. Sometimes you have to wait a bit for drinks when it's super busy, but the servers are doing their best - no one is standing around. Expect more of a pub/tavern type of establishment (the word tavern is in the name). It's not a bad place - just don't expect to receive a fine dining experience.
Compared to the competitor across the steeet very quiet but that is quite nice. Price very reasonable . Small choice of tasty entrees hamburger, fish and chips, salmon and chicken pot pie. Appetizer are shareable and good price. Good sport bar atmosphere and fabulous view of harbour and lake. Outdoor seating pleasant.
I met some colleagues for lunch the other day and was pleasantly surprised with the new place. Service was great and the food terrific. Will be back again.
My close friends and I went to Marine Tavern and we had the greatest time! Our server was Macca and he was attentive, friendly, and made our experience wonderful! Would absolutely recommend
We have been here for over 2 1/2 hours and are just finishing lunch. Service is unbelievably slow. Chicken on the club sandwich was old and so dry I had to take it off the sandwich. It is a lovely setting across from the water but will not return.
We stopped by the patio today to take advantage of our great weather. This is one of our favorite patio to be at. Service is great, and you can relax and enjoy the water view.
I ordered mussels at Marine Tavern and it was a huge disappointment. They weren’t cleaned properly, full of byssal threads, and tasted bad. I had to send the dish back, and instead of an apology or any effort to make it right, I just got a flat “ok” like they’re used to serving food like that. Terrible service and zero accountability. Wouldn’t recommend.
