I’ve always purchased mini-cupcakes and been very happy with the freshness and flavor. The buttercream icing is always lovely. Recently I tried their chocolate chip cookies and think they are the best in Oakville! The Sweetest Thing’s chocolate chip cookies would be a close 2nd with Black Forest Bakery #3.
Best cupcakes in Oakville! Banana butterscotch and the Princess (the strawberry icing and coarse sugar is ) are great! Very good balance of cake texture / the amount of icing.
The red velvet cupcakes have a unique caramalized and crunchy edge! They are so good, not overly sweet and heavy. They have a lot of options, will be trying more next time!
I ordered 12 mini cupcakes and picked up on Easter Saturday. Very disappointed with the freshness. Princess and Red Velvet. The cupcakes were very very dry and felt like they were 24 to 48 hours old. My guests were also disappointed in the quality. I won’t be ordering again
Ordered online for my girl’s birthday, the school needed the ingredients of cupcakes, and the store manager was so helpful and shared with me, cupcakes were also delicious, my girl and her friends loved them so much!
I have ordered cupcakes many times from Cupid's and the cupcakes have always been good. The one thing that is a disappointing is the packaging. I usually am buying these cupcakes as a hostess gift or to celebrate something so it would be nice to give them in a nice cupcake box. I understand that ingredients are expensive and there is an added cost for boxes but when I am buying premium cupcakes at a premium price I would expect the presentation to reflect this. Unfortunately they are packaged in the plastic containers you typically get your grocery store-bought muffins in.
To preface this review I would like to say that I do quite enjoy the products that they provide, and in the past I had good experiences with the customer service. I have been going to Cupid's Cupcakes for over a year now but it had been around a month or two since the last time I shopped there. My mother and I stopped over there 2 days ago two which we were met with a very rude sales staff who treated my mother with utter disrespect, she immigrated here and english is not her first language so she was asking a few extra questions and I was disgusted by the workers replies. I made sure that my mother would never have to step foot in there again because she does not deserve that type of treatment; instead today I stopped over there to pick up some cupcakes and it was that same lady working the counter. I personally work in the customer service industry so I try to help out the workers as best I can and when it came time for me to pay I told her that I could pay with credit, to which she responded extremely rudely "did you not see the sign on the door, we only take cash" I was shocked to hear that as her response instead of the normal, "Im so sorry our machine is not working and we are only taking cash at the moment." She acted as though I was inconveniencing her even though I am the customer. I of course do not mind that the machine was broken however I was truly rubbed the wrong way and felt as though this lady does not have ANY respect for her customers.
