Every city needs a Kelly’s! As someone with many allergies and food sensitivities, I feel so safe getting treats here and they are so delicious. My friends can never tell the difference between the gluten-free/dairy free/nut free treats I get versus theirs, other than maybe that Kelly’s treats are better!
The chocolate cake we purchased was unfortunately quite dry and dense, with very little flavour. The icing was extremely sweet, somewhat grainy at times, and, like the cake, lacked any noticeable flavour. Given the cost, we expected a much higher-quality product. It was presented really nicely and the staff are very kind and helpful.
I absolutely love Kelly’s bake shop!! The cupcakes, coffees, ice cream - oh and that Morning Glory muffin - everything is phenomenal and completely shocking that it is plant based if you haven’t been yet you better run there now xoxo
The food all tastes the same no matter what you order, it feels like you’re just eating the same bland, overly sweet product with different shapes and names. Nothing stood out, nothing was fresh or unique.
The place is unreasonably overpriced, coffee very mid and when I asked, if they have the washroom the cashier told me that Second Cup and Starbucks close by have it, so I should buy the coffee from you and go use their washroom? No common sense, no basic hygiene requirements.
We ordered the matcha coffee here, and honestly, it was the worst matcha I’ve had in my life. The taste was so bad that I wanted to brush my teeth right after. Never ever going back. Really terrible experience.
Kelly's Bake Shoppe is an institution in Ontario. For people with food allergies, especially children, their treats are an everyday miracle. Kelly and Erin make delicious sweets that everyone can enjoy and their food is so wholesome it is healthy too! Female entrepreneurs to admire. I even took a a bunch of treats on vacation to Europe in June! I love this bakery and will be heading there shortly! Thank you Kelly and Erin❤️
