My teenage daughter attempted to redeem the “Try + Choose + Trade” perfume gift and was immediately met with suspicion by a beauty advisor named Christina, who implied that my daughter could have forged both the receipt and voucher to obtain the product. When I returned to the store with my daughter, Christina was dismissive, rude, and unprofessional. She insisted on a physical receipt instead of a picture sent by the gift giver, spoke condescendingly, then abruptly ignored me mid conversation to serve another customer. When I stated I was there first, she openly mocked me with the next customer. As a result, I am now left with an extremely expensive gift that cannot be redeemed due to an unnecessarily convoluted and restrictive policy that feels intentionally designed to discourage customers from receiving what was promised. What should have been a simple birthday gift has become embarrassing, frustrating, and completely useless. Shoppers really needs to stop this scam gift product where the receiver ends up having to awkwardly request for receipts from gifters its so embarrassing. Between the misleading program and the appalling customer service, this experience has permanently damaged my trust in Shoppers Drug Mart. Employees like Christina should not be in customer-facing roles. Very disappointed.
Cashier on the retail side did not seem able to read English, both for myself and the person ahead of me. Has to call someone for basic reading assistance. How is this a requirement for the job?
I want to give a shout-out to the girl working the front cash at Shoppers Drug Mart Sunday night. She had such a warm, genuine smile and the kindest eyes—her positive attitude really stood out. I don’t know her name, but I see her often on Sundays, and she’s always just as friendly and welcoming. She truly brightened my day. Excellent customer service!
I was in this store on November 5. I was trying to do 1 purchase of $60 and 1 purchase of $75. The staff was giving me dirty looks, in particular this younger man (brown, about 28) who later approached me to ask if I needed help. That would have been okay had it not looked like he was asking because he thought I was disabled or dumb. I was simply trying to work out my offers and amounts. Him giving me dirty looks while I was checking the prices and trying to see whether the items qualified to be in the offer did not help. As an Assistant Manager (apparently) he should be aware of the PC Optimum Program and the fact that we who use it don't know prices by heart (especially if half of the items are unmarked like here) and that offer details change very often. So I put my basket down and I exited the store.
I just wanted to say the girl on front cash yesterday gave such amazing customer service she was really pretty always smiling and had such kind eyes ,even though I don't know her name she definitely made my day with her positive energy I always see her on sunday
The pharmacy staff are excellent - very customer oriented, very efficient and attentive. The staff at the front-of-store checkout are very friendly, helpful and patient especially on seniors' discount Thursdays.
I am unsure of the negative comments relating to the pharmacy! I have never had an issue with my prescription and the pharmacists are friendly and helpful. Even when I get stressed to come in for my refill / forget my refills(my own induced stress) ! I agree with one person who said that likely the negative reviews may be coming from people who are upset with themselves / not a regular customer. I have personally seen some customers speak and behave so unkindly to the pharmacists. I am shocked. They are doing their job and likely are understaffed / have high volumes. I appreciate how chaotic it is and how overwhelming it can be to refill or get a new prescription in Ontarios health care system but I do believe if approach any situation with kindness and patience, more often or not it’ll be returned!
