I was in Oakville on a visit for work (I live in Ottawa) and needed a last minute oil change. The crew at Autopro found a way to fit me in to their busy day and got me back on the road before the end of the day!! Thanks for fitting in my last minute request.
I've been bringing my car here for about 5 years. I've always trusted this shop %100 with repairs. I don't bother them with oil changes or tire changes but always contact them if my car is making noises or something seems off. I bring it in, they tell me what's wrong, how much it costs and I pay what they ask. I dropped my car off this morning to get a spark plug changed for what I thought was causing misfiring and engine shaking. When I arrived I informed them that I needed to change my brake pads along with the coil and spark plug change. I had to embarrass myself and tell these guys at the counter that I just lost my job and I can't spend a lot, reason for this is because I was originally gonna change 3 spark plugs when I made this appointment ,basically letting them know I can only change the 1 necessary spark plug and the 1 coil. I was pressed a couple times to change all 3 spark plugs so i just told them the honest truth why I couldn't change all 3 , I asked twice for the price of a brake pad change, the response I recieved was (I'll get that checked out for you. He said he'll call me with the price. After a couple hours I called and asked about the brake pad change cost, he told me I had to change all 4 pads and rotors, gave me a price of $1300+. I asked the price for just pads and he said $850, which I wouldnt even spend on pads because of my current stated financial situation. It felt bad knowing that I cant even afford a small car repair at my personally preferred auto shop. When I picked up my car the issue I thought was a spark plug was actually a coil they changed in June. They were honest and didn't charge me anything for the coil replacement but did charge me $100 for checking the break pads. I clearly stated in the morning that I was just laid off from work and I can't afford to be spending a lot which is why I asked for the standard quote first. You would think a decent person would take the 2 minutes to check in there system and give the price for the labor and the parts when a returning customer clearly states there financial situation is not great and is asking prices for parts and labour before they even hand over the key. I questioned the $100 charge when they were clearly in the wrong by diagnosing a problem when I already told them what it was and asked for a quote when I arrived. They were upset that I was questioning them about even touching the brakes without responding to my multiple quote requests. I was told they aren't that kind of shop and I will never get another quote over the phone and I should probably go elsewhere if I wanna shop around. What a wonderful way to treat a returning customer thats never questioned any fees or charges in the past, paid whatever you asked and left satisfied thinking this shop is great. It takes a lot to walk into a shop asking prices and having to tell them I just lost my job and can't just pay whatever like I have in the past. The best part of this whole situation is I drove from Toronto to get something fixed which I expected to pay hundreds for when the actual problem was a failed part they installed a couple months ago which cost me over $700 for 1 coil and 1 spark plug. I ended up going 7 minutes down the road to another reputable shop, they changed 4 pads,4 rotors for $790 including taxes, they were friendly and didn't treat me like a second class citizen. The situation today reminded me of a previous visit I made to Napa to change my transmission fluid. I was Charged over $300 and they only changed %30 of the fluid. I have the receipt to prove it. They dropped a little fluid out of the bottom of the transmission but didn't have enough respect for me to use the hose to get the rest of the fluid out like they were supposed to and were paid to do. The reality is I should be upset for paying them top dollar for a couple parts and coming back twice to get it fixed. The Truth is this shop has done good work on my car when it was an insurance claim but when I pay out of pocket I don't get the same respect.
Prompt service, reasonability of costs and explanation as to what needs to be changed/ done. Jason was very helpful as has been the case over the last few years.
Although the store was open but waited 15 min and no one showed up to service me. I tried to call the store while I was inside the store but no one answered the phone
First auto shop I trust! The service advisor, Jason was very professional and had great communication with me while my vehicle was in their shop. The mechanics there are very experienced and are exceptional as well. They even did an exterior wash before they returned my vehicle!! Thank you again for the amazing service!
Always the best service. My family and I have been coming to NAPA for years now, and there's a reason for it. Not only is the service pristine, there is no run around whatsoever. The professionalism of this place is incredible. You know that feeling when you take your car in just after you've had an oil change or your brakes done and you think "I hope they don't try and tell me I need something I DEFINITELY don't?" We all have. But you have no worries here at all. Like I said the professionalism and the people are amazing to work with and you can get your car serviced here with confidence every time. Who doesn't want that?
Staff is friendly, honest and accommodating. I didn't have an appointment and they took me in right away. They suggested I change my cabin and engine filters and offered me a few choices with ranging price points, Jason was very knowledgeable when explaining my warranties and plans for future repairs. The mechanic Nankisor came out and let me know that my oil was a little low and reminded me of the importance of letting my car warm up , and regularly checking the levels, which I am guilty of not doing. I left feeling appreciated as a customer. I also trust that they gave me sound advice and will continue to come for future repairs.
